Dr. John P. O'Connor III,NASM-PES
Dr. O’Connor graduated from Life University in Marietta, Georgia. In his state of the art facility, he bridges the gap between performance and rehabilitation. He brings his will to compete and compassion with him every day as his life mission is to help others achieve their dreams, live life to the fullest & be their best.
Dr. Jessica L. Horowitz
Dr. Horowitz graduated from Life University in Marietta, Georgia. She is a second generation Chiropractic Physician and she loves working with young children and maintaining a strong philosophy based practice. . She has training in biomechanics, pain management and TMJ dysfunction. Dr. Horowitz has worked with patients of all ages and problems, including babies and toddlers with structural issues form the traumatic birthing process to geriatric patients with difficulty walking due to pain and weakness. Dr. Horowitz believes that staying healthy is hard work and with the help and guidance from everyone at Velocity Chiropractic and Sports Rehabilitation optimal health can be achieved.
Dr. Kristopher R. Tardio,
Dr. Tardio graduated in 2011 with his Doctorate of Chiropractic from the University of Bridgeport Chiropractic College. As an avid athlete and former college basketball player, Dr. Tardio sought out extensive post-graduate training on working with athletes. He is a member of the National Academy of Sports Medicine Performance Enhancement Specialist, a Titleist Performance Institute Medical Professional and utilizes the K-Vest 3 dimensional motion analyzation with biofeedback training. In addition, he continued his clinical education with post graduate certifications and specialties in: spinal biomechanics, motor vehicle accidents, crash dynamics and its relationship to causality, and MRI interpretation of spinal pathology. His approach to patient care is tailored to each individual’s needs and treatment is evidence based.
Anthony attended University of the Sciences in Philadelphia where he acquired his Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy in 2003. Anthony started his OT career working on a multidisciplinary team helping children and families with Early Intervention needs. He believes strongly in the benefit of a multidisciplinary team approach as well as taking a holistic approach to recognizing the needs of each individual client. Over his career, Anthony has been afforded the opportunity to work with many different client groups, diagnosis, and has build a diverse clinical skill set. His passion is working with people to help them return to function and day to day activities by helping to identify and overcome barriers.
Leanne Yates, MSc (PT)
Leanne received her Masters of Science in Physiotherapy from McMaster University in 2006. She has gained 10 years of clinical experience working mostly in an Orthopedics/Private Practice setting, treating patients with a broad scope of musculoskeletal injuries including neck and back pain, post-op knee arthroscopy and ACL Reconstructions. She worked for 2 years in Canada and then moved to Bermuda, where she continued her career working for two of the island’s orthopedic surgeons for 7 years. She has taken post graduate courses in manual therapy, myofascial release and kinesiotaping, earning her designation as a Certified Kinesiotaping Practitioner in 2013. She is currently working on obtaining her Transitional Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Leanne has extensive experience working with athletes in her clinical practice as well as travelling with National level teams for International competition.
Kim Fenton – Insurance Administrator
Kim became a Velocity team member in 2014, after working in the corporate medical field for several years. Her knowledge and experience in the industry has enabled her to transition into her role in the Insurance Department, which consists of billing, management of accounts receivable, patient benefits coordination, pre-authorizations, and insurance claim inquiries.
Lori Miller – Marketing Director
Lori began working as the Marketing Director for Velocity in October of 2014. After a career in medical device sales she eventually transitioned into the field of Physical Therapy and Sports Rehab. Lori plans to take her knowledge of this market as well as the newest technologies to gain exposure for Velocity and make it the leading Sports Rehab Center in Central New Jersey.
Candice Simms – Sr Insurance Administrator
Candice first joined the Velocity family in 2003 as a patient and soon discovered she wanted to be a part of the Velocity team. She has held many positions during her tenure with the Practice. Currently in the Insurance Department, Candice manages patient charts, billing and benefits verification, while still maintaining an active role in the administrative division of the Practice.
